Amplify your impact with cinematic storytelling that turns awareness into action and viewers into advocates.
Nexus Point Pictures partners with Purpose-Driven Brands, NGOs, and Aboriginal Organisations to turn powerful stories into lasting change. We don't just make films — we build the full ecosystem that takes your audience from watching to acting.
Awareness - The Film
Documentary storytelling that captures the truth of your mission. We produce films that cut through, land with funders, move communities, and open doors that reports and grant applications can't.
Action - The Platform
A film without a next step is a missed opportunity. We build the digital infrastructure — online portals, learning platforms, campaign hubs — so your audience can sign up, learn, donate, or act the moment they're moved to.
Advocacy - The Campaign
We don't stop at delivery. We help you scale the message through targeted distribution, community building, and content strategy that keeps your story working long after the credits roll — turning viewers into advocates and advocates into allies.
Every great change begins with a single point of connection, a moment where a story leaves the screen and enters the heart. At Nexus Point Pictures, we believe that when documentary storytelling meets a vital mission, awareness naturally evolves into action.
We follow a four-stage process built for impact organisations:
Discovery is where we learn your mission, your audience, and your goals. Production is where we capture it cinematically. Digital Ecosystem is where we build the platform, creating connections that turn viewers into participants. Campaign Launch is where we put it in front of the people who need to see it.
Clear steps, no surprises, real outcomes.
From understanding your mission to launching your campaign, every step is designed to move your audience from awareness to action — with clear milestones and no guesswork along the way.
The real story begins the moment you decide to act...
Community Impact
The feature documentary 'Edible Paradise' highlighted how a "quiet revolution" in urban food development could provide long-term, intergenerational solutions for food security.
A major outcome was the film's role in the journey to convince the Christchurch City Council to support the public planting of productive trees in hundreds of parks and reserves, turning marginal land into "perennial paradise".
Hikoi for Homelessness from Ashburton to Christchurch was a significant grassroots action designed to force political and social attention onto the burgeoning housing and poverty crisis in Canterbury. As impact storytellers, your involvement helped frame this 90km journey not just as a walk, but as a moving testament to the lived reality of displacement.
Storytelling during the march successfully shifted the public focus from "rough sleepers" to the wider crisis of families living in cars and overcrowded motels.
The hikoi provided the public support needed to accelerate the Housing First initiative in Christchurch, which aims to house the most vulnerable immediately and provide wraparound support later.
Client Feedback
“I just want to pass on my sincere and deep appreciation for your great work in the planning and production of our NAIDOC Video on behalf of the Town’s Aboriginal Engagement Strategy Group. Your empathy, keen ear and eye are extraordinary, and so aptly demonstrate your willingness to listen to our needs and to ensure an outstanding message produced with integrity."
Cultural Impact
From the Kimberley to the world stage, this series follows the Pioneers as they find cultural unity through sport. We travel with these young Aboriginal athletes as they navigate the triumphs of international competition and the power of rediscovering their roots. This isn't just a sports story; it’s a catalyst for youth empowerment that proves the most important journey is the one that brings you home.
Partnering with the Aboriginal Engagement Strategy Group, we produced this character-led story to celebrate the vital resurgence of Indigenous language and culture. Led by the wisdom of Elders and embraced by younger generations, the film showcases a community-wide commitment to reconciliation. It serves as a powerful testament to how storytelling can preserve heritage and strengthen the cultural fabric of a modern town.
